Not too long ago Lars and I were on skype and he started to drunkenly sing con te partiro or time to say goodbye and that’s where the idea was born. Though this has been done plenty of times we still wanted to give it a go. Warping the vocals was a bit of a bitch but Lars is a warp masta and did the deed (you may notice the video footage playing back a bit fast – this was required so our remix would sync with the footage). I did the video tonight and now I’m releasing it and the song while Lars sleeps. He doesn’t even know I’m doing this, doubt he’ll mind though!
Anyway, here it is – Sarah Brightman ft Andrea Bocelli – Time To Say Goodbye (Blarsa Remix)

Hey dudes,
Awesome work as always! And the video fits perfectly. Which brings me to a question: what software did you use for the piano and notes visualization? I’ve got a project going where I need some way to sync midi information to visual effects in After Effects, but something like this may be enough as well. Could one of you drop me a note?
Anyway, good stuff guys. Keep it up!

Hey, thanks for kind words
Brian did all the vid work, so i guess hell reply when he sees it
Cheers!
Hey Floris,
It’s quite easy to do, here’s what you’ll need.
1) Screen capture software (I used Camtasia Studio)
2) Mam Midi Player – http://www.musanim.com/player/
3) FL Studio or a program that has a virtual piano light up when the notes are played.
Just load the midi data into MAM – select your view option and simply record it with Camtasia or whatever software you have. The piano in FLStudio is vertical, so just stretch it out as far as it can go and record as much of it as possible. When you put it into AE just rotate it 90 degrees and scale it up if you need to – then apply a mask to get rid of the extra bits of the FLStudio interface that got recorded that you don’t want to show up in the video.
Add a little glow if you want and wah-lah! Easy midi visuals
you guys never sece to amaze me
James pretty much said it.
Hey, thanks guys!
you guys ever tried dubstep? :3 im anybodys bitch if they can make good dubstep
The first in a while that I’ve liked, so I thought I’d say well done!
Some odd moments with the mix of live and studio, but generally well produced, and a MASSIVE sound towards the end. Decent vid too, although I found it didn’t match up to the production values of the audio. Imho.
^_^
Well, we had bigger plans for a video, but i was just too much work (Brian had to do it all). We just wanted something other than just a logo and music playing in the background
Glad you liked the music, its hard to combine live and studio perfectly, but i personaly thinks it works.
