Not too long ago Lars and I were on skype and he started to drunkenly sing con te partiro or time to say goodbye and that’s where the idea was born. Though this has been done plenty of times we still wanted to give it a go. Warping the vocals was a bit of a bitch but Lars is a warp masta and did the deed (you may notice the video footage playing back a bit fast – this was required so our remix would sync with the footage). I did the video tonight and now I’m releasing it and the song while Lars sleeps. He doesn’t even know I’m doing this, doubt he’ll mind though!

A few posts back we mentioned we were working on russebuss songs (don’t know what Russebuss is? Find out!) and put up a 3 second long snippet of a track, well that snippet was for a bus called Midlertidig. Apparently it was not only their promo song but part of a contest at a club in Norway to see which bus’s song could get the crowd going (which would explain why the girls of Midlertidig wanted us to put in vocal shouts like “put your hands up!” “jump jump jump!” and other misc cheesy assets, ie: the intro) – aside from that it turned out fairly well. We might put up an instrumental without all the random shouts if people like the song. If you’re expecting to hear a non-repetitive song, turn back now.

This marks our first Ableton Live project together, I (Brian) turned Lars onto Live not long ago, after I made the Party like a Rockstar remix. This tune was inspired by Wolfgang Gartner and Justice – the way all the bass sounds flow beside each other one at a time and how the grunge guitar synth compliments the beat in a sense. This is our first attempt at this kind of genre.

I recently got my hands on Ableton Live and decided to make a remix of Shop Boyz – Rock Star. Why rock star? Well, cause I had the a capella, that’s about the only reason why. Anywho, didn’t spend a lot of time on this one but I think it came out pretty alright! Although, I do wish Lars could have added his flavor to it but alas he’s busy with a festival in Norway.
